its been a while....who said designing is fun?..let alone easy.......well i dare to disagree it is HARD!!!!!!
I have spent long hours in the studio working on design ideas, yet i seem so far off as nothing is coming together. Any ways have a look at some of my sahpes and be free to leave comments.

HEY, HOPE U HAD A GREAT DAY, MINE WENT WELL.
Well we are in his together.....u said u will be with me all the way. So have a look at what i did today, another attempt to further develop my extreme shape. I am pleased with the way its coming on. still a bit of trouble with fabric.....satin a bit heavy, so its not as flattering as it should be. im loving the colours,inspired by the African grey parrot.

This is going to be a long and tedious journey.....my next move may be to manipulate this shape by repositioning on different parts of the body. Also experimenting with more suitable fabrics... but i must take a break and allow room for new inspiration, so im gonna have a look at texture and ideas for colour.

I am still trying to find that interesting shape, so im gonna try folding and pinning and after that its gonna be some serious slashing and spreading!!

This called manipulation.....I am using the same fabric to create different shapes and ideas by twisting turning folding......mmmm looks iteresting to me

 stilll doing folds but now im going to drat a pattern and integrate volume by slashing and spreading....

an attempt to add more details by pleating....

lets start here and work our way up!!...interesting folds but there is a problem......hmmmm wrong fabric. This is resembling a hoodie and i dont intend to go dowm that lane. i will need to try this again with a more suitable fabric.....satin, lace....

Now the onus is on me to choose the birds i willl focus on. i have a combination in order to achieve a collection consisting of colour, texture and shape....extreme shape!!!

i am now investigating the mechanics of the wing.......

one of the best ways to manipulate the folds of the wing is by pleating. Therefore i am pleated and now im going to draaaaape............

Now i need try and create more intricate shapes
